I am not as concerned about freeflows..because I know my good old buddy will be there with a reg or an extra stage if needed. Once in a while.. all regs will go in water that cold
Perhaps the placebo effect...but...
Everyone in my peer group notices a difference when using Argon...I don't purge the suit with Argon either..when I compare the same dive with the same water temperature and the same undergarment, we always feel much warmer with Argon.
I suggest you...
IS anyone out there actively diving a Flectalon 300 undergarment.
There are a few posts about Flectalon on the board, but I would like to hear first hand about the suit

I always use ear drops after diving in the St. Lawrence.
I often think that there are worse things in the river than a high bacteria count, (chemiclas and elevated phospate levels from farm run off)..but once that second stage is in my mouth, I try not to remove it until I am well out of the...
One quick exhale through the nose and the Scubapro frameless mask clears completetly. I find there is no pressure on the nose with this mask as well .

If you are taking the amino acid supplements in the from of "whey protein" the biggest problem I have seen is the extra mucous congestion caused by the dairy whey, often congesting my sinuses pre/ post dive.
I have since stopped using whey protein on most dive days. The difference in sinus...
Removing 5 pounds from your belt with an E8 130 is a good place to start. Keep in mind you will have about 10 pounds of gas at the begining of the dive if the tank is full.

I appologize in advance.
As to the real question...
I wasn't sure what to expect when I dove them as singles.
With a SS backplate and an STA, they trim out very well. I have not experienced any "head down" issues, although they seem to get a tiny bit butt light in or around 900 psi.
You have a lot of gas ( 10 pounds) when pumped up and it...

Thanks to all those responsible for an informative, smoothly run event. Hats off guys and gals
P.S. who went home with John Reekie's speedo ?

As Wendy and Gator said, a good singles wing is in order.
Some people have had no problem diving the Dive Rite Rec wing with single tanks, but I have had nothing but trouble with that wing on a single tank....air trapping during ascent..( which is the last thing you need trying to...
Thanks,
I imagined they would be a little awkward but easy enough to use. However, at the end of a cold water dive I might be a little slow with the fingers. That silicone is a great tip Scubaroo. I've seen the shears around here at medical supply places and the price is right.
