One of the many reasons that I went for the gates was specifically that it doesn't have electronic controls. My reasoning being that with out these there is less to go wrong and if your electronic controls screw up while underwater your pretty much screwed especially if you are somewhere remote.

I have a gates housing. Its very very good. All controls are manual and easy to use plus the customer cervice one recieves from Gates is simply superb. In conclusion, gates housings are probably the best ones about.

Rotan man, my feet are solid! Walked around Koh Tao without shoes for over 6 momths and didn't buy a pair of flip flops even when i was travelling round Indonesia. Turning up in KL without shoes and walking into McDs was a strange experience :) But thanks for the info lads.
