    SC divers

If my memory is correct, the boat rides are at least a couple of hours. You have to get that far offshore for good vis, plus thats where the wrecks are.

It can be good or bad, depending on the weather. I had one great trip to Myrtle, but the last one was terrible due to rough seas. But there are some awesome wrecks there. Almost( but not quite, IMHO) as good as Morehead.

My name is Tom and I'm from Taylors/Greenville also. I mostly dive Jocassee, but have dove Morehead, Myrtle, Florida, and the Caribbean. I am also working on Divemaster. Always good to meet more divers.

    What's ScubaBoard worth to you?

I also used to belong to another Board which became very clicky...very fast. I have found most of the people on ScubaBoard to be knowledgeable and witty, making my visits enjoyable. However, some of the egos and know-it-alls have made me visit less and less. If I had not received an email...

    Cayman

How easy is the shore diving at CC/DT? After Bonaire, I am spoiled. Also, what sites do the boats generally visit? Any of the wrecks? I realize that nearly all the wrecks in GC are either very shallow or very deep, nothing in the depth range of the Keys or Morehead City.

    Cayman

Does anyone have any experience with Cobalt Coast and Dive Tech? I will be going to Grand Cayman at the end of June with a group from my LDS. I have heard both positive and negative comments about both and would appreciate some feedback. This will be my first trip to Cayman after two trips to...

    Cayman

Can any Grand Cayman veteran give me some idea of the grocery prices there? Not a detailed list, but mostly sandwich stuff, soft drinks, and most especially, Beer:14:

    Hot Hole Dives

Have you ever dove Jocassee? The temps and vis in the summer sound about the same. I'm there most weekends in the summer along with a buddy of mine from Weaverville.

    Scopalomine Patch Not Working Anymore!

I did great with the patch until my last couple of dive trips. I put them behind my ear, and they keep falling off! Got sick as a dog in Morehead last spring, (dove anyway...fantastic wrecks!) and got somewhat green diving the Keys wrecks Thanksgiving weekend(also dove anyway, felt much better...

    Hot Hole Dives

Wear your 7mm with or without hood. You may be a little warm in the warm spots, but when you hit a cold spot, you'll be glad you wore it. And gloves if you have them, depending on your tolerance to cold.

    Hot Hole Dives

Bermuda Triangle in Greenville takes their pontoon to the Hot Hole most weekends. Call Reese at (864) 286-3483 to see if there is room and reserve a spot. All you need is a $10.00 gas donation. Their next trip is Jan. 7th. Come on out and hope to see you there.

    Dx-3100

Can anyone out there give me any advice on my Sea & Sea Dx-3100, besides putting it on ebay? My pics are almost always blurry, and my dive buddy took better pics when we were in Bonaire with a less expensive camera and high speed film. I'd sell it to another dive buddy, but I don't want to end...

DiveLand and Loch Low-Minn this Weekend

Ok, Back to the dive sites themselves. I have heard of Loch-Low, but this is the first time I have ever heard of Diveland. Where is it? I am a regular Jocassee diver but am always looking for new sites.
