Greetings all,

True to our global nature, Global Underwater Explorers is proud to announce this year's annual conference will be held in Budapest, Hungary on December 1 and 2, 2007. We have incorporated much of your feedback over the last two years and have an exciting blend of speakers as well as a range of unique poster sessions from diving projects around the globe. Careful attention was paid in organizing the schedule so as to maximize access to cutting edge information while also encouraging social networking with divers around the world.

With the final details in place, we are happy to announce that registration for the GUE Conference is now open!

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend, but I can highly recommend Budapest and Hungary in general. Budapest is a beautiful city with a rich history.

We are very excited about the upcoming conference and pleased to see so many registrations from people across the globe.

We have increased the panel for the forum debate on the Efficacy of Rebreather Diving – CCR and SCR to include to Leigh Bishop, George Irvine, Jarrod Jablonski, Casey McKinlay, Phil Short, and Rick Stanton.

Also, in light of the WKPP’s recent discovery, we are delighted that Casey McKinlay will be joining us to describe the achievement of project’s primary goal of the last twenty years.

Don’t forget the registration price goes up 30 Euro in just a week!

Greetings everyone,

Given the location of the conference, we have been working hard to expand the number of languages being offered for translation. We are very excited to have secured sponsors for several languages allowing us to broaden our audience base.

-DIR Ltd. as well as other local companies will sponsor the translation in the native Hungarian language.

-Taucher.net has agreed to co-sponsor translation for the German language.

-Decostop will support translation into the Russian language.

-As previously announced, DIR Italia committed to translation for the Italian language.

I am also happy to announce that generous donations from BtS Europa, Halcyon Manufacturing, and San Diego Underwater Adventures will allow us to expand additional offerings at the conference.

! Don’t forget that the registration price will go up on September 30, so make sure you register this weekend!

Registration for the conference has been very strong so be sure to register before we reach our limit. It would be a shame to miss GUE's first international conference, especially given the great range of speakers that will be present.

If you know any divers who speak Italian, Hungarian, Russian or German and would be interested in the conference, please be sure to let them know.
