Think you may have gone to champagne after all the trouble you had.

How about you draw a sectional view of the cylinder & sleeve and O rings
show damaged lip.
Then post it may help some one in the future

..............but I tackled a few stiff rounds of "Bourbon on the rocks" this evening, almost forgot I had a compressor.! :wink:

I can do that windy, give me a day or three and I will post it.
 
I take my hat off to you Widget. Many men would have thrown in the towel a lot sooner and given it to the 'experts' to nut out. It is easy to sit on the sidelines and make suggestions on possible fixes, but it takes determination and perseverance to achieve a positive outcome at the coalface.

Certainly an inspirational exercise on dive compressors. :D
