    Dive Rite's old AL BPs were sometimes criticized for being burred. The new ones have nicely machined slots that do not feel sharp. Yet, the DR webbing comes with protective sleeves for the webbing. Are these sleeves necessary?

    I dealt with them before. Not worth the hassle at all IMO. They especially get in the way trying to weave the webbing through the bottom of the plate...
