I bought my wife an AL Legend a few years back and it has the ACD and at the same time I got a Titan LX (old style). The ACD works just fine, adds no real complexity or failure mode and does what it is supposed to do, keep water out of the first stage. My wife is not as careful with her equipment as I am with mine and several times she has dipped her reg without the cap on. I have just recently overhauled her Legend and my Titan LX (no ACD) and despite my being very careful it is clear that an occasional drop of water got in my first, her Legend is as clean as a whistle inside.
