Not to derail, but I agree that underwater cell phones would be worse than non-dive computers. Could you imagine, look how many people you see on the road with a phone glued to their ear.

ahh...so you met her as well? She was out in Oz at the same time as us....she thought a computer meant she could bring her laptop on holiday rather than a dive computer.
I gave a old book to another diver it was a true story and the 'dippy' one asked if it was a real true story....priceless!
