Divers obviously have some special concerns and needs when it comes to primary care physicians. With lots of ear problems, various hyperbaric concerns (including the whole DCS nightmare), foreign travel, etc., maybe we should be looking for "more" than the standard GP.

I've been using an Internist that also dives, but pending relocation means it's time to start looking for someone new. Any suggestions? In addition to blond, friendly and warm-hands, that is?

Thanks, in advance.

Steven

My doctor here is an ENT/Allergy/Hyperbaric doctor who happens to be a scuba instructor. Couldn't be happier.

Since that isn't always possible, I at least look for a doctor who is a certified diver. It's so much easier to explain concerns to someone who knows the basics of diving.
