After countless weekends of ocean tumult, mild conditions finally allowed Phil and I to return to our familiar routine this weekend. We dove Haggarty's, Topaz pilings, and the Barge. Although we couldn't find nudis at Haggarty's, there were a surprising number of species of algae taking a foothold. Likewise, an endless array of marine life had returned to the barge. Whew. The long drought is over.

No larger than white punctuation marks on brown algae, Bispira polychaete worms.

Phimochirus californiensis

Flabellina iodinea

Phil found these minuscule (seriously, barely 3mm) Aolidiella olivae mating and laying eggs.

Pseudoceros mexicanus, a polyclad flatworm.

Xantus' swimming crab, Portunus xantusii

Speckled sanddab

Tuna crab
