Barbados..good trip for us in last two weeks in May ?

We are a family of one guy who is an avid diver with every experience under his belt. loves it…I don't scuba dive but love beaches and swimming and snorkeling and two daughters in their 20s who like diving but not every day…so we want to try the caribbean….like the thought of Barbados being a direct flight from London…hotels seem nice too…we want a decent beach, decent food with access to diving on the days he wishes (prob every day)…we have been to the MAldives (may not a good time unfortunately otherwise we would go there, malaysia and indonesia and red sea (again not a good idea)….so suggestions as to where we would base ourselves ? I/ hear that the west coast is the calmest sea wise? and good dive operations ? will they come pick us up and the hotel or do we have to go to them ?

Hi have dived in Barbados for last 9 years. Most of the hotels are nice, people friendly and dive operations good. I usually dive with the dive shop Ltd located near Carlisle bay. They pick up from a good few hotels and cater to both divers and non divers. Have you found a hotel that you would like to stay in ?
