It's time to get wet again!
Join Eugene "Rod" Roddenberry for Roddenberry Dive Club's 2nd Mission. It will be a quick trip out to Catalina Island on October 13th. And, this time we have secured space on the dive boat, Island Time, for the underwater adventure.
Just 22 miles off the California coast, Catalina has a virtually year-round Mediterranean climate. Because of the protected status of many of the areas surrounding the island kelp forests thrive. And, there is abundant marine life in the plentiful natural and artificial reefs. The calm clear waters allow for comfortable diving for all experience levels as well as plenty of great snorkeling spots. In fact, Rodale's Scuba Diver magazine ranked Catalina Island the #1 dive spot in North America!
The Island Time is conveniently located in the Alamitos Bay in Long Beach. This boat was specifically built for diving and, due to it's speed, does not have bunks below deck - not that you'll miss them as it's typically only 75 minutes to Catalina!
Tickets are $120.00. The boat will board at 6:30 AM and leave promptly at 7:00AM. Lunch is included plus three tanks are provided and ready to go when you board. This means no waiting between dives - just the time it takes to move the boat to a new spot, if desired.
