David what would this lenses be best used for? I'm new to photography. I picked up a T3i so I'm looking at lenses.

I have this lens and it is perhaps my most-used lens. It's for outdoors, landscapes but also portraits with a big background. I've taken thousands of photos of my kids and their scout troop. It's a cheap lens but is amazing IMO. It's also bulletproof as mine has been backpacked and paddled hundreds of miles.

I used this lens on a trip to Cozumel a few years ago. Figured the great range from wide to medium focal length would work fine and it definitely did!

All shot with Ikelite housing, 6" dome port and one single DS125 strobe.

It's a super lens for landscape and medium close shots also as Rick Bryant mentioned.

This lens for sale is my brother's and only barely used above water and in MINT shape.
