We’re roughly at the halfway point of our annual campaign to help get our Chamber on solid financial footing. And some aspects of the event are doing well while others have slowed down.
The Challenge is perking right along as we’re nearing $60,000 there.
We’ve also added another boat the mix, the Liberty (Malibu Divers is the sponsor), which is a 6-pack that leaves out of Long Beach and which will likely be comprised of free-divers.
But we seem to have slowed down a bit on the pace of signups for all the other boats and we’ve slowed down a little bit on the pace of signups for Chamber Evening as well. So we’re hoping a number of you have Wednesday, May 3, free to either dive or dine and will be adding your name to our lists soon.
Don’t lose sight of the fact that our Chamber relies on the support of the diving community for around 55% of the annual funding. Chamber Day accounts for the lion’s share of that.
