With the swells finally subsiding, we hit Buchanan's Reef off Marineland this morning. Visibility was only twelve feet, but the water has warmed up to 60° and the murk and jelly parts in the mid water have begun to disappear. We found the usual assortment of nudibranchs and rockfish, as well as a large school of mackerel in the shallow water.

Thanks for posting your photos, always a pleasure to look at.
It looked pretty calm out there today. It was overcast in the morning, glad you got at least 12' of VIS.
The DiveVets flock will be at OML Sunday for services and I hope they have even better VIS.

Excellent Series! Great variety of nudi. The Hermi closeup is spectacular! Great pose, super detailed. Really like the Flabellina trilineata pair as well. Good to hear conditions are improving. Looks like we'll finally get in some summer fun :) How did Merry's shots turn out? Did the point entry look doable?

The Flabellina trilineata are really cool.....Condiontions have gotten a little worse in Laguna, Heisler Park north, 10-15vis, 2-3ft shore breakers, and 64degrees,..So maybe next weekend Im off to the Palos Verdes Peninsula....(with my new book!) if conditions are still the same.

Phil, you've got more nudis in this post than I've seen the entire year here in the Casino Point Dive Park!
