Dave Mullins of New Zealand is in Bali at the moment for the Australian Freediving Association Depth Nationals.

Today is the first day of competition and he has nominated a World Record depth of 129m for Constant Weight with fin (CWT). Daves dive will be at 11:30am NZ time.

Dave's previous best, and current NZ CWT record, is 125m. The current World Record is 128m held by Russian Alexey Molchanova.

Dave turned early at 114m with a dive time of just over 3 minutes. He had trouble with his mouthfill (equalising). Today will be a shallow (for him) training dive of 60m so he can work on mouthfill then he may have another crack at the World Record on the next competition day.
