Can a Dacor Viper be rebuilt with Mares parts from their MV octo? I'd like to use the Viper for my pony but I'm worried I may not be able to find parts for a future rebuild. Thanks.

    Hi Katch,
The short answer is yes mostly the parts are transferrable. This is predicated by which first stage you have on the Viper 2nd stage. There were a couple of different first stages used with this reg. D20, D16, and D12. The D20 1st stage has been discontinued. However we have ample parts today. If you clarify exactly which Viper reg you have, I can give more detailed information.

Viper regulators w specific 1st and 2nd stages manufactured include-
    Viper Gold D20 1st / Viper 2nd
    Viper Metal D20 1st / Viper 2nd
    Viper T.E.C. D16 1st / Viper 2nd
    Viper America D16 1st / Viper 2nd
    Viper D12 1st / Viper 2nd

    Best,
    Zak

    Hi Zak,
Do you still have parts for the D20 first stage?

    Thanks,
    Tom
