you may find much of your rig/platform diving is done in current, because the dive boat typically needs it (or a good breeze if no current) to hold the boat off the platform.

Yup, duck behind some of the bigger stuff, wear your gloves, and find a coral-free rusty steel spot to hook a finger and rest.

It's cool diving, I've done it courtesy of Frank's boat out at Flower Gardens, on a sunny morning it's like being inside a church with the blue stained-glass windows letting the light in, and bright red and golden color everywhere.
