Man missing following dive off Moreton Island

"An air and sea search is underway for a diver missing in waters off Moreton Island, near Brisbane.

Queensland Police Service said a 44-year-old man failed to surface from a chartered dive at Henderson Rock about 2:20pm.

Water police and Volunteer Marine Rescues vessels have been joined by aircraft from AMSA and Surf Lifesaving Queensland."

Beautiful winters day here, 25+ degrees air temperature, no rain or wind.

sad news...hope all turns out well....

Terrible news. You would imagine that as the head of Queensland Fisheries he would be quite a good diver and I would consider him an experienced diver with 300 dives (as per article).
