Diving August Seychelles, worth taking own equippment?

Hi,

I am going to the Seychelles in August and I am wondering how things are look there. How are diving conditions there? Is there a lot of fish? Is it worth taking own equippment?

I would take own equippment if diving would be at least as nice as off the Perhentian islands for example, so a lot of fish, and worth doing 6 dives.
