Thanks all for the top tips; What is the weather likely to be like in Indonesia in November? I'd like to fly in from BKK and looking at any interesting dive site for either macro or pelagics!

bali has great diving, international airport, other touristy things if you want that, and many choices of accommodation/restaurants..
diving around amed from shore, liberty wreck at tulamben, kubu dive for muck diving, seryia for muck diving, jemeluk bay, bunutan, japanese shipwreck, kicking ass currents at gili-selang....then theres nusa-lembongan island which has mol-mola(sun-fish)though the season for those is finishing, but they can still be seen, manta's and great drift diving around toyapaka,sd,ped, mangrove and blue corner....
bali is great and easy and one flight only into indonesia....
my personal thoughts are the indonesia diving is the best in the world, with, manado and surrounds, togean islands, ambon, alor, komodo, pulau wey(sumatra)irian jyia and bucket loads of other places....
anyways, enjoy wherever you go....but bali is often discounted as too touristy.....but the diving is world class....and easy to get around(mind you, traffic can be a bit rough these days as there are twice as many vehicles from4 years ago,and the streets have not gotten any wider.....
enjoy
