'Ello World - From South America (For Now...)

Hello!
I'm thinking about getting into the diving scene. I've always loved the water and the ocean, but the cold water from my home land (Alaska) has always deterred me from exploring the ocean depths. But now I'm in Ecuador! And I'll probably head north to the Caribbean from here, so I was hoping to do a little (lot) of diving.
