Hello All,

My ten y.o. son starts pool training next weekend for his Junior Open Water. We are having trouble fitting him for fins. The Deep See Aqua Glide Snorkeling Fin http://www.leisurepro.com/p-dpsfg/deep-see-aqua-glide-snorkeling-fins were recommended by a shop, but other shops disagreed, saying that some dive operators might not "let him on the boat" with a snorkel fin.

1) Will the snorkel fin suffice, until he grows into a larger fin? I anticipate Caribbean dives.

2) Any recommendations for fins for kids?

Many thanks,
Greg

We fitted some grade school kids into Cressi fins once - they were actually taking scuba/pre-scuba lessons thru a dive instructor. All of their Frog line go XS/Small and they're dive fins, not snorkel fins. might be a little big for kids though? Frogs are also around $40 when he outgrows them. There's someone on eBay that sells them new still otherwise the Frog Plus all run about $90 everywhere.
Cressi Fins Cressi professional scuba diving equipment

They also sell these: http://www.leisurepro.com/p-csbplf/cressi-palau-long-adjustable-fins-laf
They go as small as Kids 3XS.
