Looks like the new Marina will be open soon.

The hotel Presidente is initiating the donation of the property that will provide the entrance to the new Marina Cozumel. The work is being finished to open the enlarged marina to the sea, and although economic times have been difficult it is time to open this new tourist attraction for the island, which will have a capacity for 333 boats. The construction of shops for tourist services providers will be complemented by a hotel zone and residential area, and should open greater nautical tourism in Cozumel.

The Port Authority is in process of suing eight users of what will be Marina Cozumel and has been known as “Caleta” for their failure to pay their docking fees amounting to 100 thousand pesos over the last two years. Most of the delinquent boat owners are dedicated to diving and have moored their boats there for years


I wonder who the boat owners are who owe thousands of dollars.
