Setting aside iffy weather/wind conditions for diving the North Wall, how's the visibility in mid February for the rest of the dive sites? Are the seas usually calm or bumpy? How long are the boat rides (again, generally, cause we know there are many sites) to the sites? Also, what kind of water temps for this time of year?

My husband and I are considering a last minute trip in February (thinking about staying at Sunset House) and will find somewhere else if visibility is generally poor. Our last trip was to Provo and Grand Turk last June and the viz was 80+ most of the time so we're spoiled. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

<< how's the visibility in mid February >>

For most sites most of the time, it should be in the range of 75 - 125 feet.

<< Are the seas usually calm or bumpy? >>

You will likely experience some relatively calm days and some "bumpy" ones. More of the former around Sunset House and more of the latter on the N Wall and in the E End.

<< How long are the boat rides >>

10 to 20 minutes usually. Longer if you go to the N Wall from Sunset House.

<< what kind of water temps for this time of year? >>

This is an unusually warm winter. Your temps will be 81 - 82 degrees.
