Medical technology is constantly evolving so there could be a new/better technique for you if you talk to specialists at a large big city research hospital.
 
As for the pro ear mask, or anything else like it, I would be REALLY nervous about using these devices. The primary reason being that things get knocked around underwater.

As for the ProEar 2000, I am acquainted with the man who developed this device and he gave me one some years ago and I tried it out on several occasions (I'’ve since given it to another diver). It's kind of silly looking and does take a while to master, but used properly typically is effective in keeping water out of the outer ear, but not absolutely foolproof. I know one diver (a diving medicine doctor!) with bilateral ruptured tympanic membranes who uses both vented plugs and the ProEar 2000 simultaneously.
