Hi
I wonder if anyone has been recently in the Maldives or is living there and it is able to compare the coral condition.
I have read that during last 3 weeks the coral has been heavily affected and I wonder how much really.
There is a very sad article in the guadian with devasting pictures.
I ve been 2 times in a best of maldives safari, one in a resorty in Baa atoll and last year in a further south safari.
The shape of the Maldives coral was never neat but I wonder if now is even much worse.
Thanks
Rgds

I did a liveaboard for a week early this month and it was my first diving trip to Maldives. Comparing to what I saw last year in Bali, I'm afraid there wasn't much colour down there in Maldives :(

There were still lots aquatic lives to see thou, and I'm hoping they'll make it with the deterioration of coral reefs.
