Actually I have 7 of these mask in stock.. I'm in Indonesia.. My friend who used to be their distributor is closing his Dive Shop, he left me with 8 of these mask, which 1 of them I used myself.. Pretty good view with the mask but I agree the plastic lens is prone to scratch.. PM me if you're interested in them..

They come with all the accessories (Cover Lens, Retractor plus Stowing Plate for the Cover Lens, Lanyard plus Monocle, Lens Neoprene Cover all packed in the hard case except the cover lens stowing plate and retractor) minus the Sea Gold Anti-Fog.. Don't know how he lost all 8 of the Sea Gold..

Maybe SeaVision would be an alternative for you?

Masks - SeaVisionUSA

I just got 3 masks from them, to replace my Atomic Frameless 2 mask, which always leaked on me. I really like them. They don't leak and I have a mustache. I just got lenses with +2.0 gauge reader lenses. But, they will do full custom prescription lenses, including bifocals.

Whups. My bad. I clicked the Flat Rx Masks link above and thought that was what you are looking for. Never mind. SeaVision definitely doesn't do anything like that Mega 4.5DD mask. That thing looks like a trip!

Yuri_RP
how do I get in touch with you regaring the hydrooptix masks?

Wow, I totally regret not keeping tabs on this forum! Hey Yuri, I hope you visit back soon. I'll buy two from you if you still have them... maybe even 3! I love this mask! It's really a shame they've gone out of business. This is the only mask (that i know of or tried) that provided me with a seamless panoramic view.

I guess until another company steps up to revolutionize the way we see u/w, I'll have to treat my HO mask like glass slippers.:D

They were doomed from the start. Great idea BUT the whole contact lens issue made them a non-starter for most. Wish they would have worked without them...

I agree that for most people who aren't near sighted, wearing contacts was viewed as a hassle. It was for me in the beginning but after a few dives, wearing contacts became so easy that it took me less than a minute to wear one. Still I think it is well worth it. No mask comes close to the maximum field of view.

Sadly it seems HydroOptix really is gone. The web sites are still up. But my attempts to reach them by email or phone over the past weeks all have failed.

I am looking for a replacement lens for my mask. Any chance there are still dive shops that carry HydroOptix masks or parts?

A-Z,

We're still kicking! But I've been out of town on extended business (not the dive business). We use a challenge-response system for our inbound email because soooooo much spam is sent to us. Perhaps your email to us was sent from a "new" email address (i.e. not on our system's "friends" list), and you didn't notice our challenge-response in your inbound emails? The system sometimes creates false-positives.

To avoid the above hassle, please use our contact-us page -
Dive Masks by HydroOptix -- Contact Us -- E-Mail

I'll be in touch with Terri and let her know to look for your message (please mention in your message that you're A-Z from SB).

I was thrilled to hear that you're still in business but and I placed an order through the website but now I'm scared that it's a scam . The telephone has a voicemail box that hasn't been set up yet and the email couldn't be sent because "

Your Email could not be sent at this time. The following error was encountered: Refused. Sending to remote addresses (relaying) is not allowed."
Whoops!!!

This whole thing is so dead. Looks like a Nigerian scam at this point.

Nudge nudge nod nod wink wink...I have a few in stock. Fell off a lorry. No scratches. Like new. Cash only accepted in Zambesi Pula. Send now.
