DumpsterDivers "A Kingfish" thread got me digging up a clip put together from a half day spearfishing we did a few years ago. The visibility isn't as good but it gives you an idea of the sort of thing we see here in the summer. (This is a little over 1 hours drive and then 15 minutes in the boat from Auckland, New Zealand).
