Ok. Me and my soon to be wife are taking a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas . I was wondering if anyone could recommend a excursion or a dive in Nassau. My fiance doesn't dive so I was hoping to find a place where she could lay on the beach and I could go diving.

There's 2 dive operators on Nassau. Stuart Cove's is the cruise operator. They pick you up as you exit the cruise dock area and shuttle you 30 mins south to their facility. It's an old movie set and mostly a long dock fronting some buildings. Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas Shark Cage Diving Bahamas Diving in Nassau Bahamas - Diving
Why I don't think there's a beach there: http://elwingman.com/bahamas0921_03.jpg

The other option is Bahama Divers. They're located in a yacht harbor area about a 5-10 min. ride east of the cruise docks. Bahama Divers No beach there either. You'll need to take a cab there from the cruise dock but they will drop you off after the dive(s).

While you're diving your fiancee might enjoy the beach at the Atlantis megaresort as well as the other amenities. She may have to buy a day pass. Atlantis is on Paradise Island. The resort has 3 pretty nice beaches...lol:

Bahama Divers is located on the shore side of the bridge to Paradise Island. So depending on your arrival time - allow something to get thru customs/immigration also - you could drop her there first or if it was too tight, she could drop you at Bahama Divers then double back to Paradise Island.

On your return, Bahama Divers can also drop you back at Atlantis instead if you want to look around - maybe get lunch.

Take the ferry back - one of them docks about 2 blocks from the cruise port - I think it's this one: How To Get Around - Nassau & Paradise Island - Ferries

I moved this to the cruises forum..

If you're planning to do anything at Atlantis (even just cross the bridge to get there), it's a good idea to research pricing first so there's no surprises. Just a day pass and lunch on the Atlantis side of the bridge could leave your wallet screaming "what just happened??"

The Beach pass is $100 thru Carnival. That does not include the Dolphins but it does include "lunch" at some of the outdoor carts. They don't specifically mention the waterpark either.
Atlantis Beach Day & Discover Atlantis | Nassau, The Bahamas

Which is not terrible considering that the Wyndham Viva Fortuna on Grand Bahama was $90 and it's 1/20th of the resort.

The full-ride including the waterpark etc. is $189. Everything but the Dolphins as far as I can tell.

Interesting thing I didn't know is that the pass includes the shuttle to/from the ship.

Dolphins are pretty much extra everywhere.
