Historically, observing Nature at work has led to understanding the way things work.

This has allowed great leaps forward in technology. An example would be the observations of how birds fly, leading to revelations about wing shape, creating lift as air passes over it.

Could the same be said when examining the creatures of the sea? They have some interesting things we might learn from them, from movement to living under pressure in a hostile environment.
