Better than just a PLB. - overkill if your close to your dive boat but most effective to ensure a positive rescue.
Better than just a Nautilus. - excellent if your within radio range of your dive boat but not as flexible to contact other potential rescue sources and does not ensure rescue if out of range.
Have both options plus some more flexibility and BE IN CONTROL OF YOUR RESCUE!

I have for sale a PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) and a multi-frequency VHF/UHF Radio which fits into a canister that has been tested down to 330 ft. It clips to your gear out of the way and hopefully is never needed. However, if it is needed you will be glad that you have it along and have the most options to ensure you get rescued in a timely manner. It measures less than 3 inches in diameter and 9 inches in length. However, if you do encounter an event in which your separated from your dive boat you will be assured that you can do the following with this gear.

1. Contact the dive boat on their VHF radio and execute a quick pickup.
2. Use the PLB to alert the satelite based globally monitored (24X7) rescue coordination center that you are in distress and your location so that they can initiate postive rescue operations.
3. Use the radio to contact search and rescue aircraft in your area. Or even pleasure aircraft if a emergency rescue is needed.
4. Use the radio to contact any other commercial or pleasure boat that is transmitting or monitoring any of the marine frequencies not just the emergency frequency.
5. If land based the radio can be used to contact any VHF/UHF station on any of the many frequencies that are utilized.
6. Utilize the additional space available in the canister to include a mirror, dye stick and/or some energy bars.

Included is a McMurdo Fastfind 210 PLB a Yaesu VX-3 handheld transciever with high gain antenna and a OMS PLB cannister.

$425 including shipping within the USA (worldwide shipping is available but paid by the buyer)
Paypal preferred.

Price lowered to $350 shipped.

A Nautilus Lifeline cost $300 and is of no use if the dive boat is out of range. If you think it cannot happen search the forums. It can and it does. The Multiband radio has many more uses than just diving. It can be used to monitor any frequency in its range and as a marine vhf radio. The PLB can be used if your on land in remote areas and need rescue or just on your pleasure boat. There is lots of value and utility in this package. This was originally a $700 plus package at retail. If you want the most options to ensure you are in control of your rescue either at sea or on land then this is a great valued package. If you ever find yourself in the position of being lost you will be wish you had spent the money on this package.
