NiMh and Li Ion battery packs

The old sierras have NiMh packs, and Dive X has moved to Li Ion packs for their piranhas. I would love to hear from anyone with experience building or using a Li Ion pack in a Sierra. (6 packs of 10; 60 18650 cells at 2600 mAh?). The Li Ion appears to have a slightly higher discharge current than the F cell. Is that a problem for the old sierra or echo motors? How long have you used the modified lithium pack?
