Scrawled, I like both the Filefish and the Cowfish. I think the isopod is on a Doctorfish.

Yes the tang has a few nicknames. Doctorfish is one I haven't heard before, but fits as another name for a tang is surgeon fish...

On both sides of their tail at the base, tangs have sharp little knife/scalpel like appendages they use for self defense, thus they were coined with the name Surgeon Fish. :wink:

You may know this Craig, just thought I'd point it out for those that don't.

The surgeon fish and doctor fish are different , both have the lateral spines.
