Oceanic PX-3 1st stage regulator - eBay (item 290563384523 end time May-14-11 07:16:55 PDT)

This is a barely used Oceanic PX-3 piston 1st stage regulator. It was recently serviced in November 2010 and has never had any problems. Below is a description, as you can see, this is a rugged do-it-all regulator. I have owned it since new and service it every year. I spent about $70 on a din converter, but also kept the original yoke mount, so you can run it either way. This reg still sells new for about $170 (not including the din converter). It has 5 low pressure ports and 2 high pressure points, for running any amount of accessories. The tip where the low pressure ports are, swivels for easy hose management. The 5th LP port on the bottom makes routing hoses for double tanks very easy.

FIRST STAGE
The 29 ounce PX3 first stage is machined of marine brass and chrome coated. It features DVT (Dry Valve Technology), an innovative design that keeps moisture and contaminants out of the first stage, even if you forget to put the dust cap on. This means internal components remain corrosion and bacteria free. It also means the CDX5 is excellent for ice diving (it won't freeze up) or diving in waters filled with contaminants or sediment (it won't corrode).
The DVT system helps keep air flow to the diver unrestricted. It starts to work as soon as the dive is over, before the regulator is even removed from the tank. It features a balanced piston, designed to deliver a constant supply of air no matter how deep you dive, how hard you work or how little breathing gas remains in your tank. Since the piston is the only moving part in the first stage, internal wear is minimized and performance is maximized. The low pressure ports there are five are on a swivel, allowing for custom positioning of the hoses for power inflators, the Alpha 8 second stage, an octopus regulator and any other accessory you desire A rubber sleeve protects the high pressure ports from bumps and dings.
