Poseidon recently ran a recall of their older M28A computers, due to an issue with the two wet switches on the rear of the earlier models, and the threat of water intrusion, a malfunctioning depth sensor, and even failure -- and mine, which I purchased at a major fire sale, on the cheap, in 2017-18, was eligible for either refurbishment or replacement.
Thankfully, I never had an issue with it, after six or so years of wanton abuse, but sent it away in late January for service.
It was replaced, in short order, with a brand-spanking new model with updated software, and Poseidon even worked out a couple of endemic, really irritating bugs, including eliminating a GPS function which never really worked, as well as a map feature that was next to worthless -- just permanently showed Scandinavia, 24-7, regardless of location.
Kudos to the Swedes for product support -- even providing prepaid postage, there and back; and to think that I was going to trade up all of their regulators for the latest AliExpress Tall-Toad scuba-death-trap specials.
Skål!
