Problems with descending. Trapped air? Nervous? Or underweighted?

Even with a well fitting suit there is some air trapped when you first get in. It takes a bit for the water to replace the thin layer of air around your body, for fabric to saturate and the neoprene to compress. If your weighting is fine tuned that can make a slight difference. Combine that with breathing a bit more due to stress add a little trapped air in the wing and it can make things awkward.

Honestly tho we have all been through this at one time or other and it does get easier. One day you will get in and you will just realize that things are coming together. Think about when we learned to drive a car.... there was so much to keep track of... now we do most of it without having to think. Lots of practice is the best way... just try to enjoy it along the way :)
