my gf's dad went to dive in a shark aquarium in South africa some months ago, having reviewed the video one of the shark handlers was holding a batonlike device which had a trigger. there were no tips or shafts protruding. i asked her dad what it was and he mentioned that they were using somekind of gun which used the bullet of a .44 magnum gun. this even possible? wouldnt the sound be defeaning?

the other handler also had a stick which electrocuted sharks if they got to aggressive. if there are really gear like this what are they and where can i get em?

These things exist. The gun is called a powerhead (PH for short). They're common in spear fishing circles. Maybe try a search on that.
