I've decided to be on the safe side and see another ENT before I pay for pool lessons, etc. I have a sensation of fullness in my ears that I'm pretty sure is caused by wax and maybe fluid build up. It's gotten better through the use of sudafed but I can still feel the wax or whatever it is in there.

Do all ENTs know how to approve someone for diving or do I need to try to find one through DAN or somewhere who is an expert on diving medicine? thanks

I would highly recommend someone who is trained in diving medicine.
My sister broke her eardrum during diving and sometime later she saw a ENT to ask whether it would be okay to dive again.
His answer: Yes, but not deeper than 15 meters!

Try Scubadoc's website for Hyperbaric Physicians that may be located in your area:
