I have an opportunity to spend three days diving in the Caribbean/Mexico/Central America at the end of July. The diving will be an add-on to a trip from Asia to Canada. I will be flying south from Toronto on Air Canada, so the only limitation is AC's route list and schedule. I will be traveling alone and am an intermediate-level diver

So far, I have been looking at Cuba, the Turks and Caicos, and Costa Rica.

I'm looking for recommendations for dive sites/resorts/operators that are reasonably close to the airport; I'd rather not spend a day traveling to and from the dive site. I've never dived in this part of the world and am open to pretty much anything: pelagics, walls, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Fly to Grand Cayman, nonstop, reasonable price. Stay at Cobalt Coast, they will pick you up and take you back to the airport. Do AI, good food and that will take care of your meals. Two dives each morning with Reef Divers and unlimited shore diving at the resort for the afternoon and night. This is a good shore diving site. That would be a good 3 days

I agree. GC is dead easy to get to from Toronto: Air Canada Non stop 3 1/2 hours.
The North Wall on GC is lovely in July and Cobalt should be good with the new management.

I sent you a private messages. Short answer live aboard In Gardens of the Queen. 2 days on land. At least 2 spots available now. Hope you can join us

For a variety of reasons, the July trip to the Caribbean/Mexico/Central America got scrubbed. But on Friday, I am diving in Ishigaki, Japan. Hong Kong Express has just started non-stop flights to Ishigaki, which is famous for manta rays.... Diving with Manta Rays on Ishigaki Island

There are still spots open on the Oct 6 trip to Gardens of the Queen
