Were thrilled to announce the opening of registration for the Monterey Shootout 2012. Monterey Shootout is an underwater photo and video competitive event featuring some of the top underwater photographers and videographers in the industry as our judges. The competition has been in existence for 31 years and is presented by Northern California Underwater Photographic Society.
This years event will be held August 3-5, 2012 in Monterey, California. A single format competition entry fee and event pass is $75 if registered before July 20, $90 there after. Learn morn about the competition and event schedule at www.montereyshootout.com.
How do you compete? It starts here: Register to Compete. Competitors will have 32-hours to go scuba diving, shoot photo and video, select, edit, and enter. Mary Lynn Price will hold a special beginning underwater videography workflow class for beginner competition entrants on Friday morning at Backscatter Underwater Photo & Video. Mary Lynn Prices seminar will fill up quickly as space is limited to 15 registrants, so register early and be sure to sign up for this special seminar through Backscatter.com after registering for the Monterey Shootout.
This three-day event features not only a competitive underwater photo and video event with over $20,000 in prizes, it also offers a hosted cocktail party, Imaging Show and seminar courses that are sure to teach participants new techniques.
