It may be one of the shortest commercial runways in the world...but most dangerous? That's ridiculous. If you have concerns you can take a ferry from St Martin. But we found the flight gorgeous and the landing and take off part of the amazing Saba experience.

If you take the ferry you will be seasick if your physiology is anything like mine. I was very happy to get on the plane after experiencing a deep-water crossing from St. Martin!

It may be a bit scary that you can see both ends of the runway before you take off, but Saba is way better than the tiny airstrip we used to get in and out of San Salvador in the Bahamas many years ago. They weighed each individual (and our bags) before they let us on the plane, and there were broken airplanes abandoned all around the runway, and we were flying in the Bermuda Triangle - Saba is a breeze after that!

Like others have already written, it is not dangerous. Winair has a 0 % accident rate at the Saba Airport. Therefore it should probably be rated one of the safest airports. It is just very spectecular and short.
