What is the best place to snorkel in san diego besides la jolla cove and where I can possibly even fish for some lobster etc.?? I am fairly new to this and I would appreciate your input your input. oh! what time of the year is it legal to fish for lobsters and what size??

Lobster season starts September 27th. This thread:http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/socal/250625-lobster-hunting.html has some information and links to the DFG regulations.

You can find lobster pretty much anywhere from the Sunset Cliffs to Oceanside that the bottom is rocky. You don't find many on open sand, although it can happen.

sounds great. but what site would you specially recommend for lobster hunting and what other one for just snorkeling?
