USPS is always the cheapest, but if they loose something it is just lost.
DavidPT40:
UPS is much more expensive than USPS.

UPS sucks to canada. lots of paperwork and hassle, plus they cost more.

When you ship USPS, which service to you choose? In my case, Priority was 2.5x the UPS price, but USPS first class international was cheaper.

Priority: $40
UPS: $15
1st class international: $10

I live in Canada and I never use UPS if I can avoid it. The brokerage fee is outragous and delivery is marginal. Ordered a carburator for my boat - $50 brokerage fee on a $300 item. If you are not there when they try to deliver they will give you a 12 hour window for the follow up delivery. FedEx is much better - they will give a four hour window and I have yet to be charged brokerage fees on small stuff. For me specifically post is best as if they can't deliver I can walk a block to my local post office to pick up the package.
