Snorkeling in Albany?

I'm going to Albany in the January period and I was wondering what type of wetsuit (or if any at all) I should bring to Albany to go snorkeling. I have never been to Albany before and considering I get cold in the water very easily I am unsure if I should bring a spring suit or wetsuit.

5mm wetsuit - the ocean is rather cold down there at the best of times.
