This coming Sunday is going to be a gigantic mess in Monterey--the annual Big Sur Half Marathon. Here are the street closures the Monterey police have announced:
--Southbound Hwy. 1 Del Monte Avenue and Casa Verde Way exits will be closed from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
--Del Monte Ave. from Casa Verde TO AND THROUGH the northbound Lighthouse Avenue Tunnel will be closed from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
--no vehicle access to the area bordered by Aguajito, Del Monte, Pearl, and Alvarado will be allowed from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
