What happened to the coral fragments which were displaced by typhoon Odette in the Philippines, 8 months later? Can staghorn corals survive in the sand, away from the reef where they grew? And, is the sand underwater in the tropics a barren area, or an unique ecosystem? I made a little video about these questions:
