Yeah, I know, Otter Bay is great! I have cat ears.

For Monterey diving I use a Bare Arctic SGS 7 mm suit with hooded vest. I like it a lot and it has nice seals and glideskin lining. Often the suit under the hooded vest stays pretty dry even after diving. Not too expensive too, got it at www.divetank.com. I would highly recommend that suit for a quality suit at a reasonable price. (They do sell Bare NexGen drysuits too, but don't know much about drysuits). My husband uses a Xcel 9/7/6 one-piece semi-dry with attached hood that he likes (but is more expensive). Like everyone says, fit is the most important thing. We dove Catalina once shortly after getting certified in Maui, and the tight hoods/ill-fitting rental wetsuits were enough to scare us off California diving for 4 years. Now with our own suits, we love it.
