This thread is from LAST year, you guys OBVIOUSLY don't have enough work to do! *goes to cook garbanzo beans* :shakehead

AACCCKKK I had no idea those nasties would keep an entire year. How do you know when they've gone bad?

dherbman:
How about thos lima beans?

We eat black-eyed peas down here. Lima beans are like what we call butter beans and they're just gross.

*thinking of another vomitious smiley*

:shakehead

but still so much to be discussed about chickpeas...!

Mix them with diced sweet peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, and feta cheese. With a little italian or similar salad dressing.

You could coat them in a little Olive Oil and toss them in some spices (chili powder, garlic, etc.), spread them on a cookie sheet and bake at a low temperature (250ish) until the are crunchy.

They make a great snack!

Meg :)

Wow, impressive recipes.

I am trying to learn Indian cooking, I plan to use them in that soon. They say they suck the cholesterol out of your body like magic. (high in phytosterols, maybe?)
