Wouldn't it be awesome if they can make a zipline that ends at the ocean? That way you can don your gear, stick the regulator in the mouth, zipline then freefall into the water. Talking about making a Giant Stride.

They should set up so it goes from the ferry right to Casino Point. Then all you would need to do is hook up your gear behind you and fly. :D

Ha, the zipline does end at Descanso Bay where you can get off and try the new Sea Trek attraction. It's good to see the SCICo adding a number of new attractions here in an attempt to revitalize our appeal to tourists.

Even better news is that the SCICo appears to be getting the message that SCUBA divers are one subset of visitors that make repeat trips to the island, and therefore are good to attract. Of course we still need to do something about the invasive Sargassum during the fall-spring time frame.

So, the Sea Trek is up and running?

I'll bet that it'd appeal to at least a few of my friends who are contemplating scuba diving, or want to go underwater but can't swim or don't want to learn to scuba dive.

Sea Trek is not running yet, but when it does that will be the arrangement

although I am not a fan of ziplines, I am glad to see they are doing something to help the Catalina tourism issues. I know people don't want to see the island developed, but I think it is only a matter of time before more of these types of tourist attractions arrive.

What the heck, when I do eventually go to Catalina I will hit up the ZIP line. I have done the famed worlds longest in Roatan and it was okay, nothing spectacular. Maybe I just require more adrenaline flowing through my veins to be really excited. I asked the guy what tricks to do and he said go upside down. So I did on the first one. That made it cooler.
